Ambriz Kingdom of Plants

I had met Joe last year at a Palos Verdes orchid event and followed up with a visit. Let me start by saying that Joe is extremely interesting to speak with as his plant knowledge is truly impressive. His grow operation is equally impressive with thousands of plants in various stages of growth. Joe pulled out these two beauties earlier today, both orchids from Africa. Ansellia Africana (AKA Leopard orchid)...first time I had seen either. Truly impressive orchids, the flowers remind me of the grammatophyllum scriptum flowers which Joe sorta concurred on. I bought four more orchids today as the other five I bought last year (Laelia (2 varieties),SLC,Bulbophyllum, cattley) are all doing great and the blooms on the laelia anceps lasted like two months. I look forward to returning to add to my collection, it was super easy to make an appointment with Joe and I had a great time!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place is a true hidden gem for any plant enthusiast! Joe has an incredible selection of exotic, rare, and healthy plants — many of which are hard to find anywhere else. His knowledge and passion for plants are obvious the moment you start talking to him. He takes the time to explain how to care for each plant and offers them at very fair prices. I left with more than I planned, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone who loves plants or is looking for something special!

Joe has an amazing collection and selection of plants. He has quite a few rare and hard to find plants at reasonable prices. Joe is also very knowledgeable when it comes to the culture of the plants he has. Just an amazing experience - I almost got a little out of hand as I wanted to buy everything.

There is nothing like this nursery in town, possibly in the world. You can't ask for this level of enthusiasm, knowledge and care in understanding and maintaining exotic plants. Upon visiting, Joey (the owner) will tour you though all of his hard work, explaining the history, usage and care of every plant he excitedly has nurtured (including some of his own unique hybrids.) Seriously, go here and your home will be enhanced with some of the most amazing and unusual life forms. Don't miss it.

Really awesome nursery with tons of exotic and rare plants! Joe is a very knowledgeable person with a passion for growing, moreso than I've seen at other nurseries. He does prefer appointments also so please call his phone number or text him, he responds quickly also! I'm a cactus guy and he had so many awesome specimens I've only seen only ever seen online, and some good prices also! When you come here stay to the right off of the main road towards where the green houses are and Joe's truck is the tan Tacoma in the front when he is there. Come check out his awesome nursery!
